Right now its all about drama on the eye. Use of color is fun but so much can happen with a serious black line and arresting shapes. Experiment with thin, thick, and curvy! #boldeyeliner

THERE IS SO MUCH POWER IN HAIR!. Native American warriors grow their hair long to represent strength and only cut it during mourning. African American slaves braided patterns in their hair to show escape routes out of the plantation. Sikhs allow their hair to grow completely natural as a symbol of respect for the perfection of God's creation. In every culture there are hair traditions and ornamentation with deep meaning.
Braiding and knot work has its own symbology which I am excited to learn about it Krista Mitchell's upcoming web class where she discuss the PATH OF THE PRIESTESS: LUGHNASADH. There will be a knot work ritual with ribbon to correspond to the solar eclipse/new moon on August 21st.
Join the circle here. Happening July 31st 6pm ET ONLINE.
an excerpt from Krista's workshop:
Ancient peoples knew the power of knots, braids, and circlets. Celtic knots, Algerian love knots, the Tibetan eternal knot, all served mystical energetic purposes on tombs and in temples. Warriors and priestesses would braid their hair. Druids and Vikings would tattoo knotwork on their bodies.
It's very powerful magic, braiding and knotwork, and while it's been mostly forgotten in modern western life, it's actually well-suited because it's very quick and simple to do!
On Monday, the first of many great shifts begin. Lughnasadh (which heralds the harvest season), followed by a series of powerful eclipses and exciting stargate portals.
WORK THAT MAGIC!! #sacredpower #magichair
